There is little the District Maven team loves more than working with our clients for a good cause. (Other than really great marketing, of course!) That’s why we were so excited to be the photographers last Saturday at the 2018 Dreams For Kids DC Football Recess clinic, co-hosted with the Washington Redskins and Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation. Hosted at Redskins Park in Ashburn, VA, this adaptive clinic brought together professional players and children with physical and developmental disabilities to play together and have fun in the sun!
There are few events more popular in Northern Virginia (or loved by yours truly) than Virginia Gold Cup. This biannual steeplechasing event is as historic as it is legendary and infamous. Not only has this been a time-honored tradition in Virginia since 1844, it happens to also be a fantastic opportunity to network and socialize.
New website alert! My newest client, Washington DC caterer RSVP Catering, needed a big of a site makeover and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results!
I’ve always said that most things in life, from relationship building to advertising, stem from trust and experience. Keeping these core values in mind when developing a marketing strategy is key. Companies are successful because they develop a connection with their customers, ultimately building a level of trust and laying out what doing business with them would be like.
The best things in life often take time and rarely can be rushed. This is especially true in the hospitality industry, when venue build-outs can take months to years to finish.
Hundreds (if not thousands) of events happen in Metro Washington every season, but the White House Correspondents Dinner has to be amongst my absolute favorites. Undoubtedly one of the biggest affairs of the year, “Nerd Prom,” (as it is affectionately referred to) is one of the few that specifically caters to the media industry. It is also a favorite amongst these professionals (such as yours truly) as WHCD is one of the rare moments in which a laundry list of notable celebrities can be spotted around town.
Of all the many people and places that have come and gone from D.C. over the years, the Willard Intercontinental Hotel is definitely one District staple Washingtonians can count on.
Whenever a client opens a new venue, it is always an exciting but busy week. Last week, was insane — I had two new restaurants open in the Washington D.C. area!
Excited to announce that today is the official opening of Don Taco, my newest client to hit the Northern Virginia restaurant scene.
Of the many events I attend throughout the year, there is no denying that the ones held at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center are undoubtedly my favorite. And it isn’t because they’re a client, either. (I can’t wait to unveil their new website I’ve been working on!)
